Chess tournaments for children and teenagers 8

The youth arm of the Munich district runs a full ladder of competitions: the youth individual championship in age groups up to the under-18s, youth team championships for the younger and the older age groups, played at the clubs, and the school chess championships for teams and individual pupils, held in recent seasons at the Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasium in Garching and the Gymnasium Kirchheim.

Clubs add events of their own for young players, such as the Garching school tournament on several Saturdays of the school year and the TSV Solln Oskar.de cup, and the Caissa Center holds tournaments for its youngest age groups under the name Nachwuchs-Cup.
